Kimberly Nelson, M.D.
Kimberly Nelson, M.D., graduated valedictorian from Ropes High School in 2007. She proceeded to Texas Tech University where, in 2010, she obtained a bachelor of science in plant biotechnology and graduated magna cum laude in honors studies. She concurrently obtained minors in biology, chemistry, and English. She entered Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2014.
During medical school, she worked with Lubbock IMPACT Free Clinic, providing free health care to the uninsured. Subsequently, she entered the Texas Tech Family Medicine residency program where she currently serves as chief resident of the Family Medicine department. Upon graduating from residency, she will begin practicing full-spectrum Family and Community Medicine in Childress, TX, working in ambulatory, inpatient, and emergency center settings as well as providing both operative and non-operative obstetric services.
