Dyslexia

Our district offers a range of services to support students with dyslexia, including:

Screening and Identification:
Early identification is key to ensuring students receive timely interventions. Ropes ISD follows state guidelines for screening students for dyslexia in grades K-12.

Targeted Interventions:
Students identified with dyslexia receive evidence-based interventions tailored to their specific needs. These may include:

  • Multisensory instruction to enhance reading and writing skills.
  • Small group sessions for personalized support.
  • Accommodations in the classroom to support learning and reduce barriers.

Individualized Plans:
For students who qualify, 504 plans or Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are developed to provide additional support and accommodations.
