Enrollment Steps
Transfers
In-District Transfers
Ropes ISD families may request an in-district transfer for their child to attend a campus outside their assigned attendance zone. Transfer requests are subject to space availability and approval by district administration.
Out-of-District Transfers
Ropes ISD will begin accepting Non-Resident Student Transfer Applications for new and renewal students living outside the District boundaries for the 2025-2026 school year starting on Monday, January 27, 2025.
Interested non-resident students who wish to apply for a transfer can request an application from any of the District offices. Current transfer students will receive an application by mail, which must be completed and returned by February 21, 2025. All current transfers must submit a completed and signed application.
Failure to promptly return the completed and signed Non-Resident Student Transfer application by the deadline may result in the District rescinding the transfer approval, potentially forfeiting the student’s place for the 2025-2026 school year.
Timelines & Deadlines:
- Monday, January 27: Transfer requests open for both current transfer students and interested non-resident students.
- Friday, February 21: Deadline for current transfer students to return their applications.
Interested non-resident students must return their application within 10 business days of receiving the application.
Current students, please note: If you do not apply within the application period, you will be required to return to your home school or another school of your choice. If you have any questions, please contact Superintendent Dade Cosby at dcosby@ropesisd.us or call 806-562-4031.
